Weila Waila
There was an old woman and she lived in a wood
Weila, Waila, Wolia
There was an old woman and she lived in a wood
Down by the river of Soria
And she had a baby three months old…
And she had a pen-knife long and sharp…
And she stuck a penknife in the baby’s heart…
There were three loud knocks, came knocking at the door…
There was two policemen and a men…
Then they took’er away and put’er in a jail…
Then they pulled the rope and she got hunged…
And that was the end of the woman in a wood…
That was the end of the baby too…
